All of the monasteries I saw were undergoing construction.  There were cranes over almost all of them.  The only one that didn't was Skete Ilias which has just been built.  I heard that all of the monasteries were growing and they needed space for more monks and visitors.
Most of the pictures here I can't remember where I took them but didn't want them to go to waste.

Checking the GPS to see how far it was to St. Pantelemonos.  Yes, that picture was stagged.
An old Byzantine pathway between monasteries.  Most of them have disappeared over the years, but this was well preserved.  Some of the bridges were in bad condition, though.
Moni Docheiariou.  I didn't stop here, I just took the picture form the ferry.
  A pathway I took somewhere.
Moni Xenophontos, taken from the ferry.
An icon shrine to St. John the Baptist.  The bottle inside is olive oil for the vigil candle.
I found this little guy somewhere.  I think it was a holder for something, maybe a large candle.
A little hermitage way up on a hill.

Go on to Thessaloniki and Oranapolis
