The center peice of the Mosque, this 3-part pagoda is suposedly shaped like a phenix.  Unlike many temples in China, much of the original architecture has been kept.
A door of the Mosque.  The roof is of Chinese design but the design pattern on the door is more like something you'd see in Arabia.  This dizzying combination of East-Middle East design was the defining feature of the Mosque.
Some pagodas served as a sort of display.  This one contained a steele (a large stone with carvings).
A well near the entrance of the Mosque.
Hui (Chinese ethnic Muslims) men lounging outside the prayer room.  I was lucky to get there before one of the 5 daily prayers the Koran orders Muslims to take.  Before prayers, there was a special room where they had to do ceremonial washings.  The Muslims are able to keep non-Muslims out of the prayer rooms so I didn't get any pictures.  The men always covered their face when they saw a camera pointed at them.  Made me feel a bit guilty.
